Spring salmon fishing on the Miramichi is a unique Atlantic salmon fishing experience. We are very blessed to be at the head of the tide on the Main Southwest Miramichi River - that means our spring salmon fishing won't be beat.
When spring salmon fishing on the Miramichi River opens on April 15th, the water is high. Salmon fishing at this time of year means a change from traditional Miramichi fly fishing. You fish the Miramichi river by motor boats with a guide at the helm. It is an exciting time of the year to be fishing and the trout and salmon runs are good. From April 15th to June 1st the customer/guide ratio is 1:1.
If you book the 5 Day Classic Atlantic Salmon Fishing Trip, on the day you arrive, a light lunch of sandwiches and sweets are waiting for you. Each day, breakfast is served early then it's off to the river with your guide. It's back to the camp for lunch and then out right after for an afternoon of fishing. Another delicious homecooked meal is served at the camp at suppertime.
Miramichi salmon fishing is world renowned. Twin Pine Lodge is located on the Main Southwest Miramichi River and the famous Quarryville Pool is on our doorstep. From June 2nd on the customer/guide ratio is 3:1.
Salmon fishing rivers: Main Southwest Miramichi River, Renous River, Barholomew River, Cains River.

If you are planning on acquiring a hunting or fishing license in NB, you'll need an Outdoors Card Number. You can apply for one here: HERE
Most of our fishing is done in Tidal water. If fishing in Tidal water no licence is required. If fishing up river which may happen if you are fishing bright salmon, you will need a license. License fees are found on page 6 of the GNB 2022 Fish Book. You can download that: HERE
Non-resident anglers require a licensed guide when fishing for sea-run Atlantic salmon, or when angling for any species on Guide Required Waters after the designated date. Since we're at the head of the tide, you may not need a guide. We recommend a guide regardless of where you are fishing. If you are not sure if you need or want one, give us a call to discuss.
